Lobster trips

The Swedish west coast is famous for its seafood. Lobsters, crayfish and crabs can be fished according to season, and oysters and mussels can be collected in the sea off the archipelago islands. The 2022 lobster season starts on September 26 and lasts until the end of the year. Read more about how you can join the trip here!

Start of the season

In Sweden, the 2022 lobster season starts at the end of September and lasts until the end of December.

Trips

From the end of September 2022 there are tours every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 09.00 and at 1 p.m. In addition, you are welcome to contact us for other times that suit you.

What is included in the tour
  • 2-3 hours of lobster fishing on the water

  • Loan of flight suit and gloves

A lobster weekend in the archipelago

Program

  • Thursday: Departure in own car to Marstrand

  • Friday: Lobster trip and lobster dinner

  • Saturday: Hike on Marstrandsön and visit to Carlstens Fästning

  • Sunday: Return home

Marstrand and Grundsund
  • The lobster trips depart from the towns of Marstrand or Grundsund, which are located on the Swedish west coast north of Gothenburg.

  • Marstrand is 40 minutes away. by car from Gothenburg and approx. 4 hours by car from Copenhagen.

  • Marstrand is Sweden's sailing capital and the old town is located on an island with beautiful wooden houses, Carlsten's fortress and a view of the Kattegat.

  • Grundsund is a small fishing village located on the archipelago island of Skaftö further north and takes approx. 4-5 hours by car from Copenhagen.
